Energy Healing

Start your day with high vibrations

Did you know you could change your energetic vibrations in and around yourself as well as your environment?  Well guess what? You absolutely can.  It doesn’t matter if you work from home, go to an office, work outdoors or retired.  Everyone can start their day in a high vibrational state. Your mindset is an absolute choice. Your environment and what you feed your mind is also a choice. Here are a few steps to start you day feeling relaxed and productive.

1. Prepare the night before

Taking the time to prepare for your day the night before is crucial. This doesn’t have to be some elaborate thing but small things like tidying up the house, especially your workspace if that applies and main living areas (do dishes, take the trash out, clean up any clutter so the house looks and feels spacious). Don’t worry Netflix will still be there when you are done. Write out your to-do list for the following day. You could even do this on Sunday evening for the week. Be sure to include time to exercise and/or going for a walk.

2. Ease into the morning

For the love of God do NOT open your eyes and pick up that damn phone. In fact, plug that asshole in another area of the house at night. There is nothing worse for your mind than filling your head with noise as soon as you open your eyes and before you go to bed. Instead, start your morning with ease and enjoy a mindful moment. I like to look out the window when I wake up before I even leave the bed. Letting the sounds of nature bring me into the day. This is a perfect time for meditation even a 5-minute meditation practice. Check out this meditation app.  Allow all your senses to open and be present for your first cup of coffee or tea. Take this time to read something uplifting in a book or magazine(remember those things.) NO phone yet.

3. Turn on relaxing music

It has been habitual for me each morning to turn on plant music in my office area. Yes, I said plant music. I have a ton of plants around my house. Here’s the playlist. While I shower and get ready, my green babies are listening to music to increase their vibrations so when I get to my office I could float it’s so light and airy. I turn on Reiki healing music in the living room since one of my children does schooling in that area. I also play concentration music throughout the day which has that same relaxing vibe. If you drive to work, it’s no different, nourish yourself by listening to some relaxing music too. You are more likely to get a ticket listening to rage against the machine than plant music. Facts! It doesn’t matter where you work if you can put on music that fills the soul, DO IT!

4. Create divine smells

I put essential oils in the diffuser in my office, my living area, and my bedroom. Don’t overcomplicate this. I love the smell of lemongrass and find it so uplifting so I put together this peaceful ass blend of lemongrass, patchouli (every hippie’s fave), and clary sage. I also recommend smudging your house frequently. Stay tuned for a more detailed blog on smudging but in short, light an incense. The smoke breaks up any stuck energy that is lingering from the last fight you had with your husband about how he loads the dishwasher, how your wife has to be having an affair with the UPS driver because of the amount of Amazon prime that gets delivered, or how you have no idea if you kids will ever be able to step out into the world on their own because they can’t even get their urine IN that huge circle in the toilet. Do you get my drift? I also love the way incenses smells. I know that some folks say that incenses smell like a bunch of hippies sitting around smoking pot but let’s be honest what’s so bad about that?

5. Looks are everything

This is absolutely not true BUT you will feel so much better if you take those dirty ass sweatpants off and get ready for the day. I know it’s hard especially if you are not going anywhere for the day but don’t fall into that. Leave loungewear for the evening and weekends. I am a yoga teacher but I will be damn if I stay in leggings all day. Get ready for the day like you have something important to do or someone important to meet. This is the act of showing up for yourself and I bet you will feel so good doing it. I do my hair and makeup every day during the week because it makes me feel so much more confident and way more energized. If make-up is not your thing or you’re a guy and find makeup might be a little too much (I laughed typing that) just know this is more about you feeling confident. It doesn’t matter how old or young you are taking care of yourself is an important part of raising your vibrations.

The premonition

I love wild-ass synchronicities. I have premonition dreams quite often and my whole life. One night I had a dream my best friend was trying to take off on a hand glider/hot air balloon(it’s a dream bear with me), she kept running and jumping but couldn’t make it off the ground. In my dream, I was so sad for her but I kept encouraging her “you can do this.” I wanted her to fly so bad.

The Fall

A day comes when life comes crashing down, this could be an unexpected death, terminal illness, a divorce, job loss, or any life change that is traumatic for us. We are coasting along and all of a sudden the bottom drops out, some of us live in anxiety waiting for this moment, for some it comes out of nowhere and we are left picking our jaw up off the ground.

The climb before the fall

I was obsessed with this rock, good ol’ Bell Rock, in Sedona, AZ. Its journey was not an easy one, although it was defined as “beginner”, it was challenging yet so gratifying. Its masculine energy kept calling to me to continue to move forward, even if my heart was beating out of my chest, I powered through until I felt complete.
